Gaming laptop maintenance in Monterrey

A gaming laptop works at its limit: CPU and GPU at full load for hours inside a thin chassis. Dust building up in the fans and thermal paste drying out steal performance little by little, until one day the FPS drop or it shuts down mid-game. Preventive maintenance keeps you from getting there. At Repárame we fully open the machine, clean it, renew the thermal compounds and hand it back with temperatures measured before and after, at our service center in Mitras Centro.

Preventive maintenance carries no warranty: it does not fix a fault. Any installed parts do, 3 months in writing.

Sound familiar?

  • A year or more has passed since you bought it or since its last maintenance.
  • The fans are louder than they used to be, even when you are not gaming.
  • The keyboard or the area above it feels very hot.
  • FPS drop after a few minutes of play (throttling) or the laptop shuts down.
  • You can see dust in the vents, or the exhaust air is lukewarm instead of hot.

What we check

  • CPU and GPU temperatures at idle and under load, before opening the machine.
  • Fan condition (noise, bearings, speed), heatsinks, thermal paste and pads.
  • Battery health and a quick check of the charger and ports.
  • If we find anything else (a worn fan, a swollen battery, motherboard damage), we tell you before doing anything.
Diagnosis with a fee that is credited toward the repair. We inspect the device to find the fault. If you approve the repair, the diagnosis fee is credited toward the total.

Frequently asked questions

How much does gaming laptop maintenance cost?

It depends on the model: a laptop with one fan is not the same as one with two fans and a vapor chamber. Message us on WhatsApp with the brand and model and we give you the price right away.

How often should a gaming laptop get maintenance?

Every 12 to 18 months, depending on how much you use it and how dusty the place where you play is. If it is already loud or hot, do not wait for the year.

My laptop already overheats or shuts down, is maintenance enough?

Almost always, but not in every case: a worn fan, a damaged battery or a motherboard fault give the same symptoms. We offer you both options with their price, direct maintenance or a full check, and you decide when dropping off the machine. If you take the check and then repair with us, its cost is credited toward the total.

Do you use liquid metal?

No. We apply high-quality thermal paste and pads of the right thickness for each model. Liquid metal conducts electricity and, if it leaks, can damage the motherboard; we prefer not to take that risk with your machine.

Does maintenance come with a warranty?

Preventive maintenance carries no warranty, because it does not fix a fault: it is cleaning and care so the machine runs better and lasts longer. If we install a part (for example, a fan), that part does carry a 3-month written warranty.

Will I lose my files or my Windows?

No. Maintenance is physical: we do not touch the drive or the system. Your games, saves and files stay as they are.

Which brands do you work on?

ASUS ROG and TUF, MSI, Lenovo Legion and LOQ, Acer Predator and Nitro, HP Omen and Victus, Dell G and Alienware, Gigabyte AORUS, among others.
